picMr. Timothy Taylor

Project Coordinator

Mr. Timothy Taylor is the Project Coordinator of the district’s 21st Century Community Learning Center.  The program seeks to help district students meet the state and local standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math.  His program also offers literacy and other educational services to the families of our school district’s children.

Mr. Taylor is a proven leader and knowledgeable problem solver.  Prior to joining the school district in 2006, Mr. Taylor was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for a management consulting firm.  He has created high-performance work teams in the U.S. Army, soft drink industry, packaging industry, and energy industry.  His professional background includes being the senior sales and marketing executive of a Fortune 200 energy company.  He is an expert on issues that include organizational structure, resource allocation, and culture transformation.

He believes that any student can achieve whatever their mind can conceive.  He is committed to helping the district’s students develop the necessary academic and social skills that can make their dreams come true.

B.S. in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point, NY)
M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA)
Chicago Management Institute Certification from the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago (Chicago, IL)

Calumet Public School District 132 Goals
Goal I. Strengthen curriculum and instruction based on identified needs to improve achievement of all students.
   
Goal II. Strengthen and enhance the role of school site administrators.
   
Goal III. Improve student support services.
   
Goal IV. Establish and maintain a recruitment, hiring, training and retention program in order that the most highly qualified staff is available to all students.
   
Goal V. Develop a clear and concise spending and financial reporting plan to provide effective use of resources for student learning.
   
Goal VI. Strengthen relationships at all levels within school district and with the community.
   
Goal VII. Improve board organization, effectiveness and efficiency as a policy making body.
