District 132 News

Parent’s Night Out at SD 132

Parents who attended the monthly Parent’s Night Out received information about school programs as well as instruction on Effective Communication Between Home and School.  Equipping parents to provide high support for the students was its purpose.

Welcomed by Superintendent, Dr. Elizabeth H. Reynolds, they were assured that the District is committed to providing opportunities for excellence in learning for all students based on District Academic Standards.  Equally important, however, are the roles of students and families in supporting the efforts of educators.

As topics on security, preparation for conferences, exchanging information about the child’s behavior at home and at school, protocol during class visits, assessments, and Saturday classes were addressed, Spanish translation occurred.  Childcare and delicious refreshments were provided.
